Frequently Asked Questions
How is TeachModo different from ChatGPT or Gemini?
TeachModo is a purpose-built teaching platform. It helps you create lesson plans, worksheets, Google Slides,
classroom learning games, and a wide range of other teaching resources in one workflow.
ChatGPT and Gemini are strong general-purpose assistants, but they are not teaching products. TeachModo is structured around classroom tasks, school adoption, and the day-to-day work teachers actually need done.
Under the hood, we use different AI models for different jobs so the product can focus on outcomes rather than forcing one model into every task.
Why does TeachModo cost $15 per month?
This covers our overhead costs for the AI models, cloud infrastructure, and the product experience that sits on top of them.
Every request has a real usage cost. We have tried to keep pricing simple and fair while still giving teachers access to genuinely useful tools.
Why is there a 500 messages per month limit?
This is an anti-abuse limit that protects the platform from misuse and keeps the pricing sustainable. Most teachers never hit it.
If your normal classroom use genuinely needs more than that, reach out and we can help.
Can schools or districts buy TeachModo centrally?
Yes. TeachModo for Schools is designed for shared billing, staff management, school-wide instructions, and usage visibility. It is a much better fit than reimbursing a long list of individual teacher subscriptions.
Can TeachModo support FERPA- and COPPA-conscious classroom use?
TeachModo is built for teachers and school staff, not for direct student use. We recommend that teachers avoid entering personally identifiable student information into prompts, and we document our privacy practices on the Privacy Policy page so schools can review them before adoption.
How do I cancel my subscription, and what happens after?
You can cancel at any time from the Settings page inside TeachModo. Once cancelled, your account remains usable until the end of the current billing period.
When and how will I be charged?
If you subscribe to the teacher plan, you are billed when the trial ends and then again on the same date each following month. School plans follow the agreement or billing method set up for your organization.
